Weddings, wanderings and luxury lounging: Everything you need for spring/summer

Want to know the secret behind our spring/summer 2017 collection? Relaxed elegance.

From gorgeous, uncontrived wedding outfits to exquisite loungewear, via a suitcaseful of first class travel outfits, Maude & Tommy’s season ahead is bright.

For our spring shoot this year, we returned to our favourite photographer, the lovely Mike Nowill, at a new location for us, stunning Explore York – otherwise known as the city library.

Here are just a few of our favourite shots – and outfits – from the day.

Sunshine shades

Whether you’re layering for the British summer or wandering in warmer climes, these wide, crinkle pants are our summer must-haves.

Designer Nila Rubia is from a family of textile artisans in Rajasthan, India. Her business actively supports the tradition of small cottage industry in the area, using hand-blocking, vegetable viagra pas cher dyeing and kantha embroidery to bridge the gap between east and west.

  • Nila Rubia block print top – £79
  • Nila Rubia harem pants – £49
  • Nila Rubia scarf – £48
  • Tagua ring – £14
  • Madaraf hat – £24

Vibrant linen

Terry Macey

Made in a Somerset workshop, with a small team of local seamstresses and pattern cutters, Terry Macey clothes are all about classic simplicity. These linen dresses are a super-easy way of looking dressed up in any weather.

  • Terry Macey blue/green dress – £349
  • Ayala Bar pendant – £269
  • Terry Macey green Paris dress – £299
  • Love That Stuff crochet necklace – £20
  • Ian Snow clutch bags, made from recycled vintage fabric – £39

Dressed-up denim

Out of Xile

Out of Xile is our favourite eventwear brand. With everything designed and made in England, it’s a great flag-bearer for home-grown manufacturing. More importantly, though, their clothes have a dressed-up feel with none of the uncomfortable overdone feeling you can get with run-of-the-mill outfits for weddings or the races.

This denim-inspired coat is just such a masterstroke. Buy for summer events and wear all year with jeans to elevate any day of the week.

Loungewear luxe

One Hundred Stars

We’ve expanded our One Hundred Stars range for spring/summer, with the most gorgeous vintage map-inspired products taking us globetrotting – even if we’re just lounging at home.

Our favourites include the pretty pink New York dressing gown (£62), the deliciously pastel-hued small-scale Paris dressing gown (£62) and the London palazzo pants (£39) and kimono top (£45).

Alternative bridal

Ewa i Walla

It’s not just wedding guests who can rock the Maude & Tommy look this season. We have beautiful outfits for the bride and bridal party too.

Designed by Swedish brand Ewa i Walla this dress, worn here with an additional underskirt, is quintessential for the brand. A signature crushed look, innovative details, creative layering, unexpected combinations, original print and carefully-chosen details… It’s all there and perfect if you’re a fan of individuality and style.

Style beyond the season

Out of Xile

Also shown in our lead image, these outfits from Out of Xile are perfect for spring/summer events – but with a timeless style to last way beyond a single season.

Out of Xile fabrics are dyed in England in small batches, which is why the brand’s clothes all have a gorgeously soft look.

  • Out of Xile ocean collar dress – £199
  • Jolene Smith copper and carnelian pendant – £59
  • Jolene Smith copper cuff – £
  • Out of Xile embellished marine coat – £239
  • Out of Xile marine maxi reversible dress – £165
